We look for parallels, to learn, to be balanced, to be able to solve problems & act accordingly. It is purposeful.

This progressive Rabbi, whose video does not mention his name, states many notable similarities.

Only when we focus on similarities, new possibilities in mutual understandings will show up.

In below videos, we have a choice to be one sided in support of the man whose call of prayer, is mixed with loud speakers pointed towards “others”, indigent population of Palestinians (Muslims & Christians), or we could take the side of the people being harassed (they do it too) & be part of the problem, from either side, it is our choice. We can also choose to be balanced, to be Godly & act on our natural desires for peace.

“If you want peace, work for justice”. Noting the similarities in the call for prayer, & beauty in both of them, both providing peace of mind to their’s followers & all part of a God created Mosaic. Enjoy both, if you can, taking stand for an everlasting peace which should consider dignity & justice for all.

Call to prayer (Athan) is not any requirement of the prayer in Quran, but many do it to follow a tradition.

In below Quranic order, “Muslims” are told not to differentiate between prophets of God, but in their call to prayer, most Muslims, like in the right video, disregard this order & say “we witness that Muhammad is prophet of God” without mentioning all other prophets.

2:136

Quran, 2:136
Say: ‘We believe in God and that which is sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes; to Moses and Jesus and the Prophets from their Lord. We do not differentiate between any of them, and to Him we are submissive (Muslims). ‘
